Having a personal trainer isn’t just about having someone to teach you how to lift weights and tell you what to eat.
It’s about developing discipline, creating sustainable habits to encourage continuous growth, and being truly happy in your own skin.
While my 1-2-1 personal training isn’t the cheapest option on the market, it offers unparalleled value for those serious about achieving their fitness/physique goals. My premium service combines expert coaching, personalised programming, and dedicated support—elements that lead to faster, more sustainable results.
Think of it as an investment in your health, well-being, and future. Clients often find that the efficiency of this targeted approach saves them time and money in the long run, compared to less effective, one-size-fits-all diets or generic training plans.
Remember, you’re not just paying for an hour of my time—you’re investing in years of expertise, continuous education, and a proven track record of client success. The transformations my clients experience – both physically and mentally – are truly priceless.
For optimal results, I recommend 2-3 PT sessions per week. This frequency allows us to maintain consistency, progressively challenge your body, and make steady progress towards your goals. It also provides enough time between sessions for recovery and to practice the techniques we work on together.
That said, your ideal session frequency can vary based on your specific goals, current fitness level, schedule, and budget. Some clients see great results with just one session per week, while others prefer up to four sessions for more intensive training or faster progress.
Remember, these 1-2-1 sessions aren’t meant to be your only form of exercise. They’re designed to complement your overall fitness routine, which may include additional workouts on your own or group classes. During our sessions, I’ll guide you on how to structure your other training days for maximum benefit.
Ultimately, we’ll work together to find the right balance that fits your lifestyle and helps you achieve your fitness goals efficiently.
For 1-2-1 sessions I’m based out of Pureygm Glasgow Bath Street. The exact address can be found at the bottom of this page.
My main qualifications are:
- Level 4 Elite Personal Trainer
- Level 4 Specialist in Lower Back Pain
And various others; nutrition for weight management, nutrition for sport and exercise, core training, circuit training, kettlebell instructor, suspension training.
The timeline for seeing results varies from person to person, as it depends on factors like your starting point, genetics, consistency, effort, and specific goals. However, with dedication and adherence to your personalized program, you can typically expect:
- Within 2-4 weeks: Noticeable improvements in energy levels, mood, and workout performance.
- Within 4-8 weeks: Visible changes in body composition, strength gains, and enhanced endurance.
- Within 8-12 weeks: Significant progress towards your initial goals, whether it’s weight loss, muscle gain, or improved athletic performance.
Remember, sustainable fitness is a journey, not a race. While some clients see rapid initial changes, the most valuable and lasting results come from consistent effort over time. We’ll track your progress regularly using various metrics, not just the scale, to celebrate all your achievements – big and small.
Rest assured, I’ll be there every step of the way, adjusting your program as needed to ensure you’re always moving towards your goals. The key is to trust the process and stay committed. Your future self will thank you for the patience and persistence!
Your safety and well-being are my top priorities. I have experience working with clients who have various injuries and health conditions, and I’m committed to creating a training program that’s not only effective but also safe and appropriate for your specific situation.
Here’s how we’ll approach this:
- Detailed Assessment: During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history, any current injuries, and ongoing health conditions in depth. This information is crucial for designing your personalized program.
- Medical Clearance: Depending on your condition, I may recommend getting clearance from your doctor or specialist before we begin. This ensures that exercise is safe for you.
- Tailored Programming: Your workout plan will be carefully crafted to accommodate your conditions, avoiding aggravation of injuries while still helping you progress towards your goals.
- Constant Communication: I encourage open dialogue about how you’re feeling during and after workouts. We’ll adjust exercises as needed based on your feedback.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: If beneficial, I’m happy to communicate with your physiotherapist, chiropractor, or other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to your health and fitness.
- Progressive Approach: We’ll start at an appropriate level and gradually increase intensity as your body adapts and strengthens, always respecting your limitations.
Remember, having an injury or health condition doesn’t mean you can’t improve your fitness. In fact, properly designed exercise can often aid in recovery and manage symptoms of many conditions. Together, we’ll find safe and effective ways for you to reach your fitness goals.
While both online coaching and in-person training are effective ways to reach your fitness goals, they differ in several key aspects:
- Location Flexibility: Online coaching allows you to train anywhere – at home, in a park, or at your local gym. In-person training typically occurs at a specific location.
- Schedule Flexibility: With online coaching, you can complete workouts at times that best suit your schedule. In-person sessions require coordinating specific meeting times.
- Communication: Online coaching relies on digital communication (video calls, messaging apps, emails) for check-ins and form corrections. In-person training offers immediate, hands-on guidance.
- Equipment: Online programs can be tailored to the equipment you have available. In-person training often utilizes gym equipment.
- Session Structure: Online coaching often provides a workout plan for you to follow independently, with regular check-ins. In-person training involves direct supervision during each session.
- Self-Motivation: Online coaching requires more self-discipline to complete workouts, while in-person training offers direct accountability and motivation.
- Cost: Online coaching is often more affordable.
- Learning Resources: Online coaching typically includes more supplementary materials (video tutorials, written guides) to support your training.
- Progress Tracking: Both methods use progress tracking, but online coaching often employs more digital tools and apps.
- Adaptability: While both are adaptable, online coaching can require more proactive communication about needed adjustments.
Both methods can deliver excellent results when you’re committed to the process. The choice between online and in-person training often comes down to your personal preferences, lifestyle, and learning style. Some clients even choose a hybrid approach, combining elements of both for optimal results.
Absolutely! I welcome clients at all fitness levels, including complete beginners. In fact, working with those new to fitness is incredibly rewarding as the transformations can be dramatic.
